SCG Cleanenergy, a subsidiary of Siam Cement Group (SCG), a leading business conglomerate in Thailand and the ASEAN region, has signed an MOU with Amber Kinetics following a site visit to Siam Cement Ta Luang in Saraburi Province. SCG Cleanenergy has floating solar farms and a unique Smart Grid system. The two companies will pursue potential opportunities to collaborate with their respective technologies to optimize energy generation, with potential use of energy arbitrage and discharge for their cement plant.
Following successful testing and proof of concept projects, further market opportunities are to be explored 2025 onwards in both Thailand and the Philippines with joint deployment of the company technologies.
